Snowboarding

Today was a late start getting to Mt. Shasta. That was fine because by the end of the day i was tired and ready to go. I had a wonderful day though! I met Steven up there and snowboarded with him for most of the day on Marmont, and then went up on the rest of the lifts with Dad. I think I did a pretty good job on the snowboard; but of course that is just my oppinion. I fell many times, got snow in my face, down my jacket, and I am suprised i am not very sore. I am gaining confidence on the jumps :D, I got a whole foot of air and slid down the other side, then crashed (not badly though). I had a great day! Hopefuly I will be able to go up again this season!

Ice Skating

Today Sara, Abbey, Steven, and I drove up to MT. Shasta city to go ice skating. The roads were nice, but it was sprinkling. It would have still been fun, but they were closed to public skating for the day:( so we toured Mt. Shasta, the city, for about a half an hour after throwing snowballs and freezing our hands. It was a fun hour and a half drive, and when we got back we went to the Sundial Bridge and walked some of the river trail; but that was about it.
All in all, I had a fun day and am enjoying my Christmas break.

Thanks

My Grandma Darlene heard of Chaplain Lewis' Blog, Training for Eternity, on the radio after the bombing and his experiances he wrote of in "MASCAL" were read. She knows i want to be a chaplain in the Air Force, and so she strongly recommended me to read it for myself. so i did and was inspired to get in the habit of writting in my own blog. I think it is a wonderful way to keep family and friends back home informed of what I will be doing while I am in seminary, and finally while I am serving God around the world. I appreciate what you, Chaplain Lewis, have done with your site, and I have been working my way back through your Blogs to get an idea of what I will be doing when I get there. Again thanks!

I hope to post a new one once or twice a week :) i will do more when i move out of the house several years down the road.

AJ
